Mumbai, India (CWBN)_ The global video conferencing platform Zoom plans to expand its market by introducing its new e-mail and calendar services by early next year. By including email and calendar services to its portfolio, the company is all set to race with the leading IT giants Google, Microsoft and others. Zoom took great advantage of the pandemic lockdown followed by the necessity to work from home system and increased its stock values by more than 500 percent this year.

The latest report states that Zoom has already started its work process regarding its email service and is all set to test the new feature by early next year. The company said that the outcome will be a corporate web email service. But, there’s no news on the calendar feature’s creation and its uncertain whether the work has begun or not. The features are introduced to take into account that the dependence on video conferencing for meetings will decrease as workers get back to offices worldwide on the rollout of Covid-19 vaccines. Nevertheless, Zoom has yet to comment on the news.

Google and Microsoft, the key challengers of Zoom, have a wider enterprise remote working software together with video conferencing service. Microsoft’s Office 365 platform and Google’s workplace package already provide an array of email and calendar functionality. Therefore, it makes sense that Zoom now needs to reveal its strength by introducing new products to its room.

The year 2020 proved to be highly lucrative for Zoom. It had an unimaginable four-fold rise in revenue in the third quarter as compared to the corresponding period last year, despite a few security bugs and problems.
