SRINAGAR, India (CWBN)_ Border Security Force (BSF) Inspector General of Kashmir, Rajesh Mishra, stated on Sunday (November 15th) that heavy artillery had been used by Pakistan in their attacks along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday (November 13). The Indian Army previously stated that the attack was an unprovoked ceasefire violation.

Speaking to reporters at the wreath-laying ceremony held on Sunday in Srinagar, the Inspector General added that Indian forces were able to destroy some of Pakistan’s defences in the region during a retaliatory attack.

Six civilians, four army soldiers and one BSF sentinel were killed and 20 others were injured during Friday’s attack, the latest in a series of deadly confrontations between the two sides in the past few months.
