India ( common wealth) _ In a strong pitch for a third term for BJP’s  government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Wednesday that the Indian economy will be among the top three in the world during his third term. The country is presently rated fifth in the world, trailing only the United States, China, Germany, and Japan.

Speaking at the new International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) complex ahead of the 2024 general elections, Modi stated that when his government entered power in 2014, the Indian economy was ranked tenth, but has since risen to fifth place in the world. “We must achieve the goal of making India a developed nation within the next 25 years.” He made the remarks following the unveiling of a world-class convention center in the heart of the nation’s capital.

On a day when the opposition Congress tabled a motion of no-confidence in his government in the Lok Sabha, the Prime Minister reeled out statistics to highlight his government’s developmental agenda and exuded confidence in eradicating poverty and transforming India into a developed nation within the next 25 years.

He chastised critics for opposing development projects, claiming that some people have a history of trying to stymie any positive work. The opposition has titled their coalition ‘INDIA,’ while Modi’s BJP is attempting to identify with Bharat while claiming India was utilized by coloniser East India Company and outlawed organizations.

He claims that the country is seeing the fruits of his administration’s efforts. “India’s development journey will not come to an end.” “India will become one of the world’s top three economies.” That is Modi’s assurance,” he stated. I would also tell my compatriots that the country’s growth journey will accelerate in our third term after 2024. The Modi administration’s second term concludes in May of next year.

Without naming individuals, the Prime Minister lambasted opponents of development projects. “Infrastructure similar to Bharat Mandapam should have been built decades ago.” But only I was meant to build it,” he explained. People with negative sentiments did everything they could to prevent its construction, including petitioning the courts, he claimed. “Some people have a proclivity.”

He claims that some people try to obstruct every positive work. He claimed that these people were opposed to the transformation of the iconic Rajpath, the venue of the annual Republic Day parade, into a grander Kartavya Path. However, the same people are quietly praising the wonderful work, and they may one day admire Bharat Mandapam and may even come to speak at an event here.

Highlighting his nine-year term, Modi stated that the number of passengers handled at Delhi airport has increased from 5 crore in 2014 to 7.5 crore. While the country’s airports have risen from 70 to approximately 150, 40,000 km of rail lines have been electrified in nine years, compared to 20,000 kilometers in the preceding 70 years.

Before 2014, just 60 cities had city gas infrastructure, but he claims that environmentally friendly CNG and piped gas are now available in over 600 towns and cities. “India can definitely develop.” India can and will eliminate poverty. And I’ll explain why I believe what I believe.” In just five years, 13.5 crore people have been lifted out of poverty, according to Modi. Modi stated that “we now have a target for the next 25 years” to transform India into a developed nation. “We set out with the vision of a capable, developed India.” We must provide India with the height and success that every independence fighter desired.

Modi went on to say that India is rapidly developing infrastructure and that the government is operating under the guiding philosophy of “Think Big, Dream Big, Act Big.” According to him, India currently has the world’s largest solar-wind park, the longest tunnel at 10,000 feet or higher altitude, the solar-wind park, the tallest statue, Asia’s second-largest rail-road bridge, and the world’s highest motorable road.

“India can definitely eradicate poverty,” he added, renaming the complex Bharat Mandapam. “I will make India a developed nation working on the principle of nation first, citizen first,” he said.
