Dubai (Commonwealth Union)_ While most teenagers are busy with school and hobbies, 14-year-old Jainam Jain has carved a niche for himself in the technology world. Accordingly, the young Indian entrepreneur has launched an artificial intelligence (AI) startup in Dubai, becoming one of the youngest founders in the UAE’s booming AI sector. His company Mengo Engine even runs an office in the iconic Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. Jainam founded Mengo Engine to help businesses leverage AI to automate day-to-day tasks. The platform offers solutions for marketing, customer support, sales assistance and content creation, allowing companies to improve efficiency and save time through automation.

Jainam’s interest in business started at an unusually young age. Jainam says he was only six when he attended a business meeting with his father. That experience sparked his curiosity about entrepreneurship and inspired him to learn beyond the classroom. Since then he has become a regular at business events, interacting with entrepreneurs and gaining practical knowledge from real-world experiences. Academically too Jainam has been on an impressive roll. At the tender age of 13, he completed the IGCSE Class 10 curriculum in a mere 105 days. He opted for an accelerated learning path so that he could devote more time to developing his startup and exploring newer ideas. According to him, practical experience is just as valuable as formal education.

Jainam’s achievements extend well beyond running a business. Jainam has delivered a TEDx talk, written a book, secured two patents and continues to work on additional patent applications. He also runs a popular YouTube channel with more than 145,000 subscribers, where he shares his ideas and experiences. To challenge himself, Jainam began setting 50-day personal goals at the age of 10. During one such challenge, he read 50 books, attended 50 business events and travelled nearly 6,000 kilometres across India to meet entrepreneurs and professionals from different industries. He also attracted attention during the widely discussed JioStar domain name episode. According to Jainam, after his team acquired the jiostar.com domain, it was later transferred to Reliance free of cost following the official Jio-Hotstar merger.

In the future, Jainam hopes to build a globally recognized technology company. He believes success is driven by creativity, discipline and consistent effort rather than age. Despite his busy schedule, he makes time for basketball, Rubik’s Cubes and family and friends. He is also planning to start a podcast to inspire young entrepreneurs. Jainam’s story is a clear reflection of the vast opportunities in AI and digital learning. He is a perfect example of the rising number of young entrepreneurs paving the way for successful careers that do not necessarily follow the traditional path, showing that age is no barrier in making a difference when you have the will and the vision.
