NEW DELHI (CWBN)_ The rising curve of active corona virus cases in India appears to flatten for the first time with 9,36,089 active cases of COVID 19 as of Sunday. This sustained decline of the active cases in the two weeks has been a great relief from the current dreadful situation.

India crossed the million mark in active COVID 19 cases for the first time on September 16 and remained in touching the peak of         10, 20,813 cases until September 17. However, this fatal scenario changed in the second half of September with the slight decline to         9, 36,089 cases. In the past two weeks, active cases have dropped by 40398. The lowest point it touched was when it dropped by 8021 on average every day until September end.

State-wise data on the status of active cases:

Considering the abovescenario, the dropping curves of Andhra Pradesh, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh left us with great relief with the steady drop in the curve for the past two weeks. The states of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Telangana shows a flattening curve in the recent time with no drop nor rise in the curve, leaving an answer of cat on the wall could either jump either way. However, the states of Karnataka, Kerala and Rajasthan still shows a rising curve with increasing cases, demanding immediate consideration on controlling the spread.

With the current COVID 19 death rate touching 1, 00,000 in India, there exist an immediate requirement to control the rising cases in the major cities. The health ministry along with the government has to play a major role in solving the current issues and save our nation from the deadly corona virus as well as the current economic crisis due to the pandemic outbreak.
