INDIA (Commonwealth Union) – There was loss and sadness when the world lost Irrfan Khan. The actor brought a lot of passion when it came to his work and Bollywood, and even Hollywood, has been grateful to have worked with him. The screens will no longer be the same without him but, he did leave behind a legacy his family can be proud of.

Although Irrfan Khan left us all early, he did have a son who also loved the spotlight. Babil Khan the son of late actor Irrfan Khan loves the stage just as much as father did but he loves a different kind of stage. Babil loves the runway. All things fashion is where Babil’s heart lies and we will take that because it means in another world, we get to feel the love Irrfan felt for his art through Babil.

Babil is well known runway model and is searched and sought after by almost ever fashion house in India as well as the rest of the world. To say that the industry is lucky to have him and his love for the industry would be saying too little about him. Babil has walked for smaller fashion shows in the past but his Lakme debut came earlier this month when he opened the show for well-known Indian fashion designer Pawan Sachdeva. The show was for Sachdeva’s collection which was called “The People of Tomorrow.”

Babil stated that this was a huge opportunity to break into more bigger runway opportunities and for his face to get recognized. There was a press conference held after the show and the media was given an all access to the models to speak to them and get an insight. Of course, they wanted to know how Babil felt and what he planned on doing after the show. Babil was excited after the show and made enough time to speak to the media about it. When asked he simply stated “It is a huge opportunity for me to be show-stopping for such a reputed designer’s collection. I love his style and I am thrilled and nervous.”

Khan has always known he was going to be in the fashion industry and was happy to be in this light. He advocates for sustainable fashion and has always supported younger designers and up and coming styles. He seems to think the fashion industry needs freshness on a regular or everything looks ordinary. The industry too seems to agree with him.
