Mumbai (Commonwealth Union)_ Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have another reason to celebrate as they welcome their second daughter into the family. The couple became parents to a baby girl this week and shared the happy news with fans in their own simple style. “Welcome baby girl,” Deepika and Ranveer wrote in a joint Instagram post, accompanied by an evil eye emoji. The short announcement was enough to send fans and friends into celebration mode. Several Bollywood celebrities, including Sonam Kapoor, Sara Arjun, Anil Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, congratulated the couple and welcomed the new member of their family.

The arrival of their second daughter also brought back memories of September 2024, when Deepika and Ranveer welcomed their first child, Dua. She was born on September 8, and the couple announced her arrival with the same words, “Welcome baby girl.” Almost two years later, the family has once again heard the joyful news of a daughter. In the days leading up to the birth, Deepika and Ranveer were seen spending time with family and visiting places of spiritual importance. The couple visited Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple with Ranveer’s parents shortly before their daughter’s arrival. The visit was especially memorable because they had made a similar visit in September 2024, just two days before Dua was born.

The couple had also recently shared photographs from their pregnancy shoot, giving fans a glimpse into their journey as they prepared to welcome another child. Earlier this month, they celebrated Dua’s second birthday with family photographs, with fans noticing her resemblance to Ranveer. Earlier, Deepika also openly spoke about how motherhood has changed her life. At the WAVES 2025 summit, she described becoming a mother as entering a completely new phase, where caring for another person becomes the centre of life.

Deepika and Ranveer’s relationship began while working together on Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela in 2013. They married on November 14, 2018, in Lake Como, Italy, in ceremonies that reflected both their Konkani and Sindhi traditions. The couple welcomed their first daughter Dua in 2024. Now, with their second daughter joining the family, Deepika and Ranveer begin another beautiful chapter together, this time as a family of four.
