Europe UK (Commonwealth Union) – Special discounts often given to students and pensioners and others groups facing economic challenges can be a lifeline for many with financial restrictions.

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) recently announced a new scheme making it possible for 1000s of families and persons from low-income households, who have a lower chance of accessing their own home garden, to benefit from visiting an RHS Garden.

The Access for All scheme which commenced this month will charge a fee of just £1, that will be made available to visitors that make available their receipt for the Universal or Pension Credit will have the eligibility to access the gardens and is set to continue all year.

Gardens have been an integral part of human life since the dawn of civilization. They serve as a source of food, beauty, and a connection to nature. Gardens can be small or large, public or private, and can vary in purpose from providing food to creating a peaceful space for relaxation. Despite their many forms, all gardens share a common purpose: to improve our lives and the environment in which we live. In this article, we will explore the importance of gardens and why they matter.

Gardens also offer a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of modern life. In a world that is increasingly fast-paced and stressful, gardens provide us with a place to relax, reflect, and recharge. They offer a peaceful respite from the noise and chaos of daily life, and they provide an individual with a sense of calm and serenity.

“One in ten people don’t have a garden or access to one and many can’t afford to visit a public garden, yet green spaces are an important lifeline for so many of us. We believe it is vital that everyone should have access to a garden or green space, which is why we have launched our ‘Access for All’ scheme and we hope that many people who might never have thought to visit an RHS Garden before will take advantage of it,” said Helena Pettit, the RHS Director of Shows and Gardens.
